De-Risking for Flight Clearance
Airworthiness Release (AWR) and platform certification are not gates for a junior team; they require airworthiness experience to ensure success.
Forward Engineering provides the senior SEI&T guidance to de-risk this critical path. While we do not hold the government's final authority, we leverage our principal experience—including managing major aircraft fleets and acquisitions—to ensure the client's certification package is audit-ready, technically sound, and defensible to airworthiness authorities like NAVAIR and the USAF. We focus on providing the strategy and deploying specialized support when needed.
Our Certification Support Capabilities
- Test Evidence Generation Strategy: We guide the Test and Evaluation (T&E) strategy to ensure test plans and procedures are structured specifically to generate the exact certification evidence required. We validate that the V&V matrix is complete and aligned with certification objectives.
- Documentation Structure & Technical Review: We lead the technical review of key certification artifacts (e.g., System Safety Assessments, Flight Clearance Packages). We can deploy our technical writers and SEI&T experts for hands-on drafting and package preparation, ensuring the final submission is complete for the client's authority to sign.
- Configuration Management Audits (CM): We conduct gap analysis of the client’s CM process. We ensure the technical baseline is strictly controlled—a non-negotiable requirement for obtaining and maintaining airworthiness.
